Hello Everyone. Long time no see, whats everyone been up to? Fill me in!
Nothing new with me, I'm still in college, its great craic!
Lost my phone the other day - not so great. I'm very poor, please be lovely and send me some money. 500 yoyos should cover me for the next month or so! I'll never pay you back of course, unless I happen to marry a nice rich man, which I intend to do. Then I'll pay you back with 15.38622225% interest. So who knows, invest in my appearance today and it might benefit you in the long run.

09:05 pm: Hello people, Marna was giving out to me for never updating my Lj and not going to London for New Year so I thought i'd do at least one of them but you'll all have to hear me moan 'cos I aint in good form I tells ya!

I'm in library and I am TRYING to write my thesis literature review. I don't even know what my question is yet. But it has to be in next Wednesday. (lit review, not thesis!!)

And I have exams the 6th, 9th 10th and 19th of January.

My friend Alan who I lived with last year died a week ago today, (he'd fallen off a cliff the previous Sunday trying to save his friend from falling off the cliff, but both of them ended up falling and dying, he only broke his elbow (!) but he smushed his poor brain and had severe brain-damage). So I am sad and I keep forgetting that he is properly dead if you know what I mean. And I think I am cracking up because I have been talking to him in my head for the last three days (is that normal?)!!! I will miss him lots :'(

Anyway I have to get more work done before the library closes. I'll try to update my journal more often, it can be my new year resolution!

04:32 pm: I left the bird I found yesterday in a ditch down the road to recover, I checked on it again last night and it was fine so I went down this morning to feed it, only it was a dead bird that I found. *sniffles* Poor bird, I feel bad now for not taking it to the vet even though I had no money for the vet and the vet probably wouldn't give a fvck about a pigeon.

I have a funeral to go to tomorrow which is going to be beyond upsetting and very very packed.

HELP!
I found my cat poking at a bird (possibly a pigeon, I can't tell) in the garden so I shooed him away and the birdy didnt move so I put a towel over it and carried it inside (yes it is alive). It's now in a box with the towel covering the box and he's in a nice quiet place. BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! I think it might only have one leg and can only hop but it might be more injured too, I don't know.
My dad is ringing the ISPCA for me to see what they say, I hope they come rescue it because I can't afford to pay for a vet visit.

Does anyone know anything I could do???

04:02 am: marnameow I don't know if you know this or not but the Irish girl who died in the Turkish bus bomb the other day was Frank and Marianne's younger sister Tara. I can't remember if you knew her but you know Frank and Marianne so I thought I'd tell you.
She was on her holidays after doing the leaving cert. Very sad. Conor is in Holland but is coming home soon now.

I am very unhappy with the world, it's not a nice place.

02:38 pm: Weather is fanastic, beach has been packed all week (and as a result is being used as a dump)... but somehow I have managed to pick up a sore throat cold thing! Great, lemsips on me!

Today I need to: clean the house
clean MY car
walk the dog
maybe go to the cinema
find a job (though that's being a bit ambitious me thinks)

marnameow, I am tusking at you for my lack of electric guitars which were discussed not that long ago! TUSK!
Me and my friend are starting a really sh1t band in 2 weeks time when he gets back from Estonia or somewhere. It's very exciting and a great way to p1ss the neighbours off even more!

04:47 pm: OXEGEN NEWS!!
WOO! I'm just back from Oxegen a little while. Had a FANTASTIC time.
Friday and Saturday were a bit wet and muddy and we were expecting lots of sun but we really got it yesterday and today!
It was scorching hot, easily over 25 degrees and we had practicaly nowhere to sit in the shade. The water wasn't working very well either and it wasn't very cold and there was no wind. So yeah, HOT!

Anyway I saw lots of bands: (in order of seeing them)

Saturday:

1.Eagles of death metal (loved them!)
2.Snoop Dogg (I didn't want to see him but I was trying to get a place for QOTSA, he was crap and stole a half hour of QOTSA's time)
3.QOTSA ( brilliant but I was so annoyed they were cut short)
4.Green Day, (were absolutely fantastic!!)

Sunday:

1.Feeder (I was nearly passed out from heat when they were playing but they were great)
2.The Streets, (had to go with my friend who likes them)
3 James Brown (WOO)

I didn't bother going to Foo Fighters, there was lots of other people who I wanted to see but they clashed with the others. We had a brilliant time though, Green Day were by far the best, even people who don't like them and saw them said they were great!

I did NOT see: the killers and Keane. losers.

We all got sunburnt even though we spent half the day putting cream on.
When we were leaving today (there was just 4 of us going for the same bus) we discovered we would be waiting for a taxi for a few hours, it was already about nine so we decided to walk from Punchestown into Naas, which is six and a half miles!
BUT WE DID IT! Even in the heat and it really is roasting! And we had all our bags and stuff!

The place got so trshed last night, it was really funny, people were lighting fires and ripping down the fences. We stayed up til about 4 o'clock and sang any song we could think of (we had little drums and a guitar so we made a racket). We even got an audience for 'The Brady Bunch'.

Really great weekend! Expensive and stinky but still brilliant!

Hello!

I think ye shud be providing me with more glasto news, I saw pics and it looked so flooded! fun though :(
But I don't mind missing it cos me and friends are off to punchestown for Oxegen next weekend!! GREEN DAY (again, I know).


We found a lot of mouldy stuff on our tent (on the inside, its stinky) and the tent people told us not to clean it, suggestions for what to do???
We really want to use it cos it's BIG!

I can drive grand now (more or less). I was scared of starting up a hill but since I live on a hill of a town I had to get over that and I can do it now! I even started up the AIB bank hill, I know ye don't know what that is but take my word for it, its tres busy and tres steep! But I can drive on my own now and with my friends and while singing along to music! so YAY! Oh and I'm not scared of putting the car into 3rd or 5th gear anymore, oh and I've stopped looking at the gear stick when I change gear! It's all good.

I'm broke so I'm going to win 60 million on Euromillions this week! WOO!

Oh I had a great night out last Fri, it was a 21st and I drunkenly organised a beach party for after which turned into a party in some poor fella I don't knows nice house. Poor fella, great night though!

10:51 am: BAH HA, dogs are stupid (except my dog)!
Went driving yesterday, I think I have gotten the whole taking off smoothly and not conking out thing.
It only took me 30 attempts. Was not the most stress-free driving session. A STUPID DOG ran right out in front of me, I managed to break in time, thankfully I wasn't going too fast to be begin with though or he would have been mushed dog. Course I forgot to put in the clutch in my efforts to not kill the dog and then couldn't get it going again because stupid me forgot I was in third gear! And there was loads of people behind me so I put on my indicator and let them go around me. It was not nice! They were laughing, you think they never had to learn to drive! I mean, I'd nearly hit a dog, a bit of sympathy. People were running out in front of me too! Anyway, I didn't kill anyone or anything and I didn't crash (mind, I did come close once). It was a bad driving day but hopefully today will be better! At least I can start smoothly now.

It's all mine and insured and everything!
I've been practicing around the last few days and I just had my first proper lesson, I drove all the way into town and up the cork road (I know ye don't know where that is except for marna) and past lots of traffic lights and stuff. And I conked out once taking off from traffic lights but that's just cos there was a huge lorry behind me. I did lots of big roundabouts and everything! I just need to learn to take my foot off the clutch a lttle gentler and not put the fvckin' thing into the wrong gear the whole time, although saying that I have gotten a hell of a lot better since Saturday. I'm just a bit paranoid about the gears now.

CAR CAR CAR!

All my exams went fairly okay too so I'm a happy bunny! I'm waiting to hear from Baush and Lomb about a job where I will be in training and making good money but when I come out of training (* weeks) I'll be getting loads of back pay and making something like €370 a week for two 12 hour shifts, I like it!

08:21 pm: OH I AM SO TIRED!

I had my second last exam this morning, it was okay, none of them have gone horrifically wrong yet thankfully!
Last one is tomorrow morning so I am going to stay here (the library) until 10 or whenever it's closing tonight and then I am going home for a shower and stright to bed. The severe lack of sleep is creeping up on me big time.

I had only four hours last night and I didn't sleep well at all.

Tomorrow's exam is the social worlds of children which I have been studying my ass off for since last week so it would want to go well. I, of course, will probably forget it all now but I really don't care. I've gotten to that lovely stage where exams just don't seem to effect me as much as they used to.

I feel like complete and utter shit and I look like I feel like it, if you get me.
I have been overdosing on coffee, if it's possible, and I actually feel like I'm going to get sick the whole time.

But as of half 11 tomorrow I will be finished second year, well except for that STUPID essay I have to have in by Friday. I am going on a major piss up on friday night, cheap shots will be heading my way as will all the lovely third year boys who I'm going to miss so much next year :(

I really want to score sexy anthropology guy from my class so that's my mission for the night! Anyway, study awaits me!

You damn people should have voted for us, we had no one to vote for us.

I need help. I've now got one essay and one thesis proposal due this tuesday. I also got 2 interviews to do for the essay.
8 days later I have another essay and another thesis propsal due.

This is my anthro proposal, I have to come up with it myself, it can be anything, if anyone has any ideas of what I could do I'd be glad to hear them!

Exams are starting in a matter of weeks, on my birthday.

I have the stress bug, I have not been in college all week for reasons. I am behind. I need help, essays and people to interview!

On happy note, my friends knew I was home and feeling crappy so they other day they left a card, a cat picture and chocolate outside the front door for me! Aren't they very good, awwww!

05:20 pm: I'm not goin back to college until early tomorrow. Brought the puppy on a little adventure today to Woodies and the shop. He got AWWWWWWW's from everyone.
Found out during the week that I was joint second in one of my modules last semester. Wahey! Thats outa like, 200+ people, I feel smart now but sorry for those who work so hard.
Most of last week was spent doing essays, as was the week before. I can't wait for summer, I'm so sick of college and I feel like I'm missing eveything back home when I'm away :(
My first exam is on my birthday, it shouldn't be allowed! It at least better go well.

Fingers crossed I get campus next year, with Siobhan of course!

We rented out 'The Forgotten' tonight, it freaked me out loads even though it's...em...well a 12's.

Went out in town on Friday, snuck into the club for free, hehehe!
Then we stood outside Abrakebabra until half 4, we're such rebels.

I worked in the donut place today for my old boss 'cos he was very lacking in staff. I haven't worked there in years! Very odd, still money is money!
